COLLEGE LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
Started in 2016, the KAGC Annual Leadership Summit focuses on developing civic leadership capacity in the next generation of Korean American grassroots leaders.
The summit is a special opportunity for undergraduate students to meet with fellow Korean Americans to exchange shared experiences that can motivate and drive policy changes that will address the social, political, and economic issues facing their community. Sessions include civic education workshops, meetings with Korean American Congressional leaders and members of Congress, and developing action plans to promote civic engagement on their campuses.
To realize this mission, in the beginning of each year student leaders are selected for an intensive training to develop civic leadership capacity and action plans for their student organizations. Throughout the year, students in the KAGC network host civic education seminars and voter registration drives on the campus.

The KAGC U Leadership Summit will be held from January 7-9, 2026, in Washington, D.C.
Who Can Apply?
The summit is open to all undergraduate students. Since space is limited, participants will be selected through an application process. Typically, no more than two students are accepted per school with exceptions.
Do I Need Political Experience?
No prior political experience is required. This summit is designed as a learning environment. All students will have the chance to learn, research, and discover the importance of their voice and how to use it to create meaningful change for their community.
What is the Cost?
We aim to make this summit accessible to all students. The program provides the round-trip flight to Washington, D.C. (terms and conditions apply) and paid-for lodging near Capitol Hill for the duration of the summit.
