As part of our college student program “KAGC U,” KAGC ran a voter registration drive with Korean Student Association at Ohio State University (KSA at OSU) and Asian American Association on March 23, 2016.

Thanks to such passionate, hard work of the student leaders at OSU, we were able to assist 41 first-time voters to register and help with over 100 voting-related inquiries–despite the primary being only 2 weeks ago!

“KAGC U. Ohio” was truly a platform for the Korean American students to strengthen their working relationship with other ethnic groups within and without the Asian American community.

In the evening over 30 Asian American students were joined by Professor Lynn Itagaki to learn the brief history of Asian America and the importance of civic engagement with several examples from the 20th and 21st century.

The passion and comradery among these students were deeply moving! KAGC looks forward to continue working with the young leaders at OSU and other universities across the country as part of KAGC U.
