It is with deep regret that we inform you the 2020 KAGC National Conference is postponed until further notice. We apologize for the change and any inconveniences. The decision was made after long deliberations for three reasons:

  • Our venue Hyatt Regency—as well as alternative venues that can accommodate the scale of our event—has decided not to open until August.
  • Though D.C. is now in “Phase 2” of re-opening which allows mass gatherings up to 50 people, we are not optimistic that the restriction will loosen by the end of July.
  • Aside from these two obstacles, the circumstances on Capitol Hill are much more challenging. Due to the nature of the congressional offices, most members and staff of Congress plan to work from home for at least through the summer. Even if they were to return to the office, the current social distancing measures in the House of Representatives and Senate make it virtually impossible for us to run Action Day meetings in person.

Pending the course of the pandemic, we are considering some time in November or December as an alternative date. Please keep an eye out for upcoming announcements by email and on Facebook.

Should this year’s National Conference be hosted in the winter, it will still be limited at 100 participants with KAGC providing for lodging, flight arrangement, and meals and registration fees waived.

Those who have already registered have to option to keep their registration status for the potential new dates and will be considered as priority in the next round of registration process.

As the circumstances turn grave again, we wish you and your loved ones safety and well-being.

Thank you.
