On April 8th, KAGC hosted “KAGC U: Northwestern” in collaboration with Northwestern KASA in Evanston, IL.

Student volunteers worked hard all day to run a voter registration drive, and in the evening, held a discussion on civic engagement as Asian American students with various speakers, including Kristina Tendilla (Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Chicago) and Dr. Joseph B. Lee (U of Chicago Medicine).

During the voter registration drive, many students were pleasantly surprised by KASA’s civic engagement initiatives and appreciated the opportunity. We wholeheartedly support Northwestern KASA’s initiative to further its civic engagement effort on campus.

We look forward to our continued collaboration at the 2016 KAGC U, the first-ever national conference for Korean American college students, next semester and on. Visit http://KAGC.us/u for more information and registration.
