Young Professionals Network

Young Professionals Network

The KAGC Young Professionals is a group of working professionals who are alumni of previous KAGC U leadership programs, congressional fellowships, or national conferences across the nation. Young Professionals members play a crucial role by volunteering at our program and consistently supporting KAGC and Korean American community. KAGC also organizes summits for Young Professionals, offering mentorship opportunities and discussions on key issues of our community. Furthermore, we host networking session for Young Professionals in the DMV area, facilitating connections and expanding their professional networks.

Young Professionals Summit

From October 8th through October 10th, 2021, select alumni of KAGC college programs attended the first-ever KAGC Young Professionals Summit, which was held in Washington, D.C. All 25 attendees of this event have led civic engagement initiatives on the campus in partnership with KAGC, joined the KAGC national conference as a volunteer, made grassroots donations to KAGC, served as a KAGC Congressional Fellow, or interned in the KAGC office over the years. The Summit is an opportunity for the attendees to discuss how to build together the future of KAGC and our mission to uplift our community through active civic engagement.

Attendees brainstormed new ideas for KAGC’s future engagements, gave feedback on their previous experiences attending KAGC events, and learned how to stay engaged with KAGC in their professional careers. In doing so, KAGC established an “advisory committee” among those in attendance, which will continue to advise KAGC’s next steps as we move forward into 2023.
