As part of our college program KAGC U, we hosted a panel discussion with Korean American public servants in greater Atlanta at Emory University in collaboration with students at Emory and Georgia Tech.
With Rep. Sam Park (GA House of Representatives), Judge Hannah Chung (Fulton County Magistrate Court), and Jason Park (Gwinnett County Assistant District Attorney), we discussed the importance of civic engagement whether as a career or as part of our daily lives.
The speakers also shared their stories on often the lone Korean American in public service and encouraged our students to get more actively involved.
We thank Emory Korean Undergraduate Student Association (KUSA), Georgia Tech KUSA, and Emory Code Zero for hosting this event together.
