Due to the unforeseen public health crisis, KAGC and its partner organizations have decided to indefinitely postpone all in-person events, including regional seminars and national conference in 2020. However, the needs for civic education and engagement in our community remain high.
As such, KAGC and its partner organization in Houston, TX, Korean American Civic Empowerment and Leadership (KACEL) hosted a regional seminar on Saturday, December 12th. With the students and parents of KACEL’s annual high school program—as well as its friends and supporters in the area—KACEL discussed the recent elections with the local officials. KAGC joined the event by video to share the achievements of this year and the vision for the upcoming year.
KAGC appreciates the continued partnership and hard work of all of our partners, especially in these trying times. We look forward to continue working together to help our community’s active civic engagement by publishing online resources and hosting virtual events until it becomes safe again to gather en masse across the country.
